OFFICE HOURS

Columbus, Ohio 2025

Office Hours is a free one-day event that aims to open a dialogue about some of the realities and shortcomings of higher education in the arts. The event has an open structure as part symposium, workshop series, and social practice art project. Participants are invited to come and go throughout the day and a specific schedule will be shared closer to the event. An iteration of this project first took place at AUTOMAT Collective in Philadelphia, PA in February 2023.

We are excited to bring this conversation to OTE Arts Gallery on April 6th in Columbus, Ohio to network higher arts educators in Central Ohio. Scheduled programming will include opportunities to build connections and share resources within our community of educators, working artists, and students. Examples may include syllabus sharing, resources for self care / burnout prevention, and workshops on navigating the job market. Office Hours is an invitation for collaboration, connection, and community action.

Date: Saturday, April 5th

Time: 11 am - 5 pm (open drop in hours)

Location: OTE Arts Gallery, 700 Bryden Rd Suite 302, Columbus, OH 43215
